This program was designed to strengthen community benefits by introducing fifth-grade students to the use of personal computers as a foundation for digital literacy, while simultaneously improving teachers’ competence in applying digital learning media at SDN Sukamulya 01. The activities, carried out from April to June 2024 for students and in May 2024 for teachers, included training sessions, hands-on practice, and mentoring. The program demonstrated tangible impacts: 75% of students were able to operate PCs independently, indicating a significant increase in digital literacy skills. In addition, all participating teachers (100%) successfully produced simple digital learning media using available applications, reflecting enhanced teaching competence and the program’s overall contribution to community capacity building.
Maya Mustika, Hanifah Tri Nur Fadillah, Hanifa Najla Gymnastia, Luthfiannisa Ghessiani, Siska Amaliyah, Tamamatunnisa Al Fasihah Copyright (c) 2025 Maya Mustika, Hanifah Tri Nur Fadillah, Hanifa Najla Gymnastia, Luthfiannisa Ghessiani, Siska Amaliyah, Tamamatunnisa Al Fasihah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://sanscientific.com/journal/index.php/ecd/article/view/536 Wed, 19 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Green Innovation in Jatibening: Utilizing Organic Waste to Make Compost through the Masdarling Community Service Program https://sanscientific.com/journal/index.php/ecd/article/view/539
The increasing population, the growing number of products, and changes in people's consumption patterns have led to a significant rise in waste volume. This situation poses environmental challenges that require sustainable solutions. One effective way to address the increasing volume of waste is to process organic waste into compost a natural fertilizer produced by the decomposition of materials such as leaves, food scraps, and kitchen waste. Composting is environmentally friendly and beneficial for plants as it enhances soil fertility without relying on chemical substances that may harm the ecosystem. The main objective of this community service activity is to provide knowledge, guidance, and hands-on experience to residents of Jatibening, enabling them to develop awareness and practical composting skills. The program employs the Masdarling (waste-conscious community) socialization method, which focuses on education combined with direct compost production practice. This approach ensures that participants not only understand the theoretical aspects but also gain practical experience in making compost. The activity was carried out in collaboration with KKN students from Krisnadwipayana University. It involved Jatibening residents, particularly the PKK women's group, as the prominent participants in promoting sustainable waste management at the community level
Yuaniko Paramitra, Dhistianti Mei R, Mishelei Loen, Partogi Saoloan S, Rosdiana Rosdiana, Diajeng Reztrianti Copyright (c) 2025 Yuaniko Yuaniko, Dhistianti Mei R, Mishelei Loen, Partogi Saoloan S, Rosdiana Rosdiana, Diajeng Reztrianti https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://sanscientific.com/journal/index.php/ecd/article/view/539 Wed, 19 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Strengthening Family Economic Resilience through Greenhouse-Based Horticulture https://sanscientific.com/journal/index.php/ecd/article/view/559
This community service program aims to strengthen family economic resilience through horticultural development using the greenhouse method in Mandalamekar Village, Bandung. The main problem faced by the community was the destruction of the existing greenhouse following a natural disaster in 2023, which disrupted agricultural production sustainability and affected food security. The program was implemented through persuasive and participatory action approaches involving local farmers, village officials, lecturers, students, and alumni. The implementation stages included training, facilitation, mentoring, and monitoring of the greenhouse construction and horticultural management processes. Evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-test methods to measure improvements in participants’ knowledge and skills. The results show that greenhouse-based horticulture contributes to increasing agricultural productivity, farmers’ income, and household food resilience. In addition, the program supports achieving university performance indicators (IKU 2, 3, and 5), which encourage off-campus learning and collaboration between academia and the community. The program provides significant managerial implications in developing sustainable agricultural innovation, empowering local farmers, and utilizing appropriate technology to support economic recovery and resilience in rural areas. This initiative serves as a model for strengthening rural economies through environmentally adaptive and technology-based agriculture.
Hilma Suyana, Andika Nuraga Budiman, Heri Yugaswara Copyright (c) 2025 Hilma Suyana, Andika Nuraga Budiman, Heri Yugaswara https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://sanscientific.com/journal/index.php/ecd/article/view/559 Wed, 19 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Assistance Program for Facilitating the Enhancement of Educators’ Competence at BBPPMPV-BOE Malang https://sanscientific.com/journal/index.php/ecd/article/view/530
Internships serve as an essential form of contextual learning, enabling students to engage directly in professional activities and understand institutional work dynamics. This article aims to analyze the role and strategic contributions of internship students in supporting the facilitation program for enhancing educators' competence at BBPPMPV-BOE Malang. A qualitative approach was employed through participatory observation and narrative reflection, allowing students to be actively involved in administrative preparation, technical implementation, activity documentation, and report development throughout the training program. The findings indicate that students contributed significantly to improving coordination efficiency, strengthening documentation systems, and supporting the execution of workshops and upskilling programs for vocational teachers. Their involvement helped address human resource constraints, reduced operational workload, and provided reflective input for program evaluation. Additionally, the internship experience facilitated the development of students' professional competencies, particularly in communication, teamwork, and bureaucratic adaptation within a government training institution. The presence of interns was therefore not merely supplementary but strategically positioned to reinforce institutional capacity in delivering high-quality competence development for vocational teachers. This study highlights the importance of establishing structured internship partnerships between higher education institutions and vocational training centers to ensure sustained reciprocal benefits that develop both academic talent and institutional performance.
Syefalia Fitriyani, Arnanda Ajisaputra, Dewi Retnowati, Moh. Interviews revealed several key findings: male and female crickets can be distinguished by the number of tails; effective cricket habitats must use materials that are durable and resistant to being bitten; and crickets can be processed not only into flour but also into side dishes and community snacks. This activity has generated positive and empowering impacts for the village community. First, enhanced understanding of proper cultivation techniques equips residents with practical skills to improve productivity and quality. Second, recognizing crickets’ potential as diversified food products creates opportunities for added-value processing, supporting micro-entrepreneurship and increasing household income potential. Overall, the program not only provides knowledge but also strengthens community empowerment through improved technical capacity and expanded economic opportunities.
Alfita Perwitasari, Zildjianita Priansyah, Jihan Khairunnisa Zahra, Ivahzada Marella Edgina, Muhammad Kausar, Herry Wihasnanto Copyright (c) 2025 Alfita Perwitasari, Zildjianita Priansyah, Jihan Khairunnisa Zahra, Ivahzada Marella Edgina, Muhammad Kausar, Herry Wihasnanto https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://sanscientific.com/journal/index.php/ecd/article/view/521 Wed, 19 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0700
